FIFA 18 Team of the Week 6 Predictions

Last week's score: 15/23 Formation: 3-4-1-2 Squad Link:

Samir Handanovic - GK - OVR 87 After the high of a Milan derby win, Inter had another tough test in league leaders Napoli, of whom had a 100% record coming into the match. Although Inter failed to win, they did stop the Napoli run with Handanovic keeping a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw. The Slovenian made a total of four saves which saw Gazzetta give him an 8/10 match rating.

Mario Gaspar - LB - OVR 81 There were various options for gold defenders this week which leaves a plethora of selection opportunities. BBVA options, however, were scarce to an extent and thus it leaves the path open for Gaspar who scored one of Villarreal's three goals while helping to keep a clean sheet for his side.

Nicolas Otamendi - CB - OVR 83 Once again, City have more than one player in contention for an IF. Unlike last week, of which I predicted both correctly I am opting for just the one in Otamendi. The CB scored one of three City goals in a 3-0 win over Burnley. Leroy Sane is the other option after recording a goal and an assist.

Ricardo Pereira - RB - OVR 80 Speaking of sides with more than one option, Porto recorded a convincing 6-1 win over Pacos and from that have three/four possible options from it. Pereira is by far the best with a goal and two assists and without a hat trick it is unlikely to see two from Porto.

Goncalo Guedes - LM - OVR 74 I predicted an IF Guedes last week, which didn't work out. However, with another top performance the Portuguese midfielder will surely be included this time around. Goncalo scored twice and assisted another in a 4-0 home win over Sevilla.

Luiz Gustavo - CDM - OVR 80 OM became just the second side to take points off PSG, who remain unbeaten, this season via a 2-2 home draw. Gustavo scored the first of those two goals and picked up an impressive 8/10 from L'equipe.

Alexis Sanchez - CAM - OVR 89 After an impressive 5-2 win for Arsenal over Everton on Sunday, chances are that there will be an IF coming their way. There are several players in contention with Sanchez, Ozil, Ramsey and Monreal all being options. I have gone with the big name after Sanchez grabbed both a goal and assist.

Julian Brandt - RM - OVR 80 Although Havertz is a good option from Leverkusen with three assists to his name, I am going with his teammate in Brandt. The German winger came off the bench to score one and assist another which saw him pick up the maximum kicker rating, 0.5 higher than that of Havertz.

Harry Kane - ST - OVR 86 Kane finally broke his Wembley goal drought during a convincing 4-1 home win over Liverpool for Spurs. Not only did he break the drought but he scored twice and assisted another. As is often the case he was the main man for Tottenham and looks set to pick up his SIF on Wednesday.

Bas Dost - ST - OVR 83 The second Liga Nos player I have included this week is someone who usually appears several times a year. Once again, the Dutchman is within the goals for Sporting, scoring three and assisting another in their 5-1 home win.

Michy Batshuayi - ST - OVR 80 Batshuayi is one of the more active footballers in terms of FIFA and even tweeted out about his IF chances. The Belgian came off the bench to score twice in Chelsea's 4-2 win. I think the fact that he is so active will work in his favour and thus I am going with him to make the cut.

Tom Muller - GK - OVR 58 I think it's safe to say that we won’t see a performance like 19-year-old Muller's for quite some time. The young goalkeeper saved an early penalty and although he did concede in a 1-1 draw it was the man himself who popped up with a 95th minute header to level the score. So, a penalty save and a goal for a keeper. Yes, you read that correctly.

Player Name - CB - OVR 00

Josef Sural - RM - OVR 72 Sparta Prague have struggled as of late which put them in a disappointing 4th position as it stands. They did record a 3-0 win on Saturday, though, of which Sural scored all three of the goals, thus putting him in the side.

David Neres - RW - OVR 74 One of the bigger games of the week game in Holland which saw Ajax take on Feyenoord. It was Ajax who ran away as 4-1 winners and Neres stood out. The Brazilian picked up three assists which saw him pick up MOTM.

Simen Juklerod - RM - OVR 60 Rosenborg gave Juklerod the more attacking role of RM on Sunday and he delivered in a big way scoring a hat trick for them. The away side also picked up one of the more convincing wins of the weekend, winning 7-1

Isaac Kiese Thelin - ST - OVR 71 The "best" performance of the week came from Belgium with Thelin banging in goals for fun. He scored four in total, during a 5-2 win for Waasland to make Waregem without a win in five.

Lyle Taylor - ST - OVR 67 We end the substitute section with a risky option in Taylor. Although the Wimbledon man scored a hat trick it did come on Tuesday which is why it is risky. That being said EA have been more consistent this year with those games which does bode well for Taylors chances.

Jan Oblak - GK - OVR 88 We saw three keepers included last week and that could well happen again in week 6 with multiple keeper performances worthy of an IF. Oblak picked up three stars and MOTM for Atletico in their 1-0 win over Celta Vigo for making a total of nine saves.

Daniele Rugani - CB - OVR 80 Khedira would have been the obvious selection from this game but due to his scream item being in packs I believe it will rule him out, same for Depay. Juventus won their game 6-2 though and thus I am going to predict them to get an IF with Rugani who picked up both a goal and assist which saw him receive a 7.5 from Gazzetta.

Alexander Sorloth - LW - OVR 69 We saw the first SIF appear last week with Kimmich which now opens the door for others. Sorloth could well become the second after he was involved in all four Midtjylland goals with a goal and three assists. From what I can tell he played out wide however if he was up top he then becomes 50/50

Niclas Fullkrug - ST - OVR 73 It seems to be a reoccurring theme with a lack of Bundesliga options as of late but once again we find ourselves in that predicament. Fullkrug was the official player of the week and with a lack of strikers scoring more than two this week, a brace could be enough for him.

Joia Nuno Da Costa - ST - OVR 69 Similar to the reasoning of Fullkrug's selection, Costa makes the prediction for being the joint highest rating in L'equipe's TOTW and for scoring a brace. The two goals came against Nice, of whom are in dreadful form and continue to hand out IF's to their opposition.
